Great tips however with the governments lack of road maintenance and resurfacing we are seeing more and more of those damn tar snakes plastered all over the road on Vancouver Island. On corners with rain these lovely non-grip surfaces can help you lose traction and spill you bike and yourself (even with Pilot 4's). And since the government does not perform any quality inspections of those applying these "sealing bands" (crack sealing) you can assume the skid resistance values to be well below what they should be. Take care they are all over the place.
