Gymkhana Club

Join the PRS Vancouver Moto Gymkhana Club and pursue the technical skills of motorcycle control that helps you not only to become a safer rider on the street, but also to have fun in a competition format. Our aim is to push each other’s skill set in ways never thought possible on a motorcycle, and promote motorcycle safety.

Stage 1 Gymkhana Course
Cost: $200

Learn the fundamentals of moto gymkhana with Honda Rock the Red Moto Gymkhana Instructor and national competition course designer Reagan in an evening of adrenaline filled two wheeled fun.

The one evening course begins with a quick introduction on what is moto gymkhana, the types of bikes/modifications competitors use, and review the rules of the sport. The evening continues with practice drills on precision control over your throttle, clutch, and brakes to achieve the slowest speed possible.

Once you have mastered precise control and balance, we will move onto GP 8. A fundamental moto gymkhana practice layout that all moto gymkhana rider practice regularly, progressing towards more advanced drills that teach you adaptable riding positions on different types of turns. At the end of the drills, you will have the knowledge to recreate the layout with minimal equipment in order to continue your training away from the club.

Pre-requisites:

  • Class 6 or equivalent motorcycle licence
  • Minimum 1 year riding experience, or PRS Alumni. (New class 6 licensed riders may also contact Moto Gymkhana Club for possibility of arranging a class with other riders with less than 1 year riding experience)
  • All brands of motorcycles are welcome!
  • Appropriate body armoured riding pants, jacket, boots, gloves and minimum DOT full face helmet (no crash damage)
  • Crash guards recommended (not required)

Practice Sessions
Cost: $10 ($20 for non-members)
Mondays 7:00 pm – 11:00 pm

Practice will take place on Mondays where the Stage 1 course is not being held. Once you are a club member, you will be updated every week on practice menu and details.

We provide all the layouts for club members to practice and hone their fundamental skills. There will also be a World Course setup with precise timing equipment for club members to attempt a time attack run and see where they stand against themselves, fellow club members, and riders globally.
