Kramer Brings Home First Place Trophy for British Columbia’s 250 Gold Cup on Sunday
The weather was not the only records broken this weekend! Four races were held at Mission Raceways during the 2013 Canada Day long weekend which saw Pacific Riding School’s Mark “Kramer” Kruger take home two first place and two second place wins. Competing were Washington’s 250 champion Adam Faucette and multiple time B.C. champion Troy Burstyk amongst a grid of approximately 20 racers. During the 40 degree temperature weekend, Adam and Kramer proceeded to break the 250 lap record seven times while battling for the win from the 123.023 lap record set last year by Oliver Jervis (2006 B.C. Superbike Champion) to the current standing lap record of 121.440. Fans witnessed Kramer and Adam’s bikes “gently bumped” each other on 3 occasions during their battles at speeds over 110 km/h as they tried to beat each other entering turn 2, exiting turn 3 and the biggest impact going into turn 6 on the last lap of Pacific Riding School’s 250 “Race of Champions”. The Canada Day race weekend saw record numbers of spectators who endured the high temperatures.
